Gel Ankle Protector Sleeve. A toeless sock incorporating 3mm thick gel polymer soft cushion pads to protect both ankle bones from abrasion, friction, pressure and knocks. Helps prevent callous, pressure sores, and abrasions leading to ulceration. Also provides light support and protection from friction damage caused by leg splints, braces and footwear. Ideal protection when wearing any type of sports boots and protects ankle bone against injury in contact sports. Ideal for diabetics, the elderly, those with circulatory problems or arthritis and any situation where protection of the ankle is required.The pads are worn in contact with the skin where they slowly release medical mineral oil helping to moisturise the skin and keep it soft helping to prevent callous, pressure sores and ulceration.
