Flat Feet (Pes Planus)
Generally a congenital problem in which the foot has a low longitudinal arch which does not necessarily cause walking problems, however, over pronation can occur causing pain and inflammation in the region of the arch. If the problem persists insoles or other orthotic devices can usually be helpful. We have a comprehensive range of insoles to cushion the foot and a range of orthotics to improve the function of the foot. In the majority of cases an insole or orthotic should prove sufficient to relieve pain and discomfort. If you have severe pain, talk to your Podiatrist (Chiropodist) who will advise you about prescription biomechanical orthotic insoles.
